The WORST receives the BEST

Bible Text: Mark 1:40-42

OBSERVATIONS:

1.   JESUS IS WILLING TO LISTEN.

  • He is concerned to our situation. He is attentive to our need of him like a leper who begged on his knees to get his attention. He listened to him. He also accepted him even if the people know that the leper is unclean, an outcast. In the same way, Jesus is willing to accept us even if we look at ourselves as the worst of sinners, or even if the people around us consider us to be unworthy of God’s attention. Even if we fail him so many times, Jesus understands us.

2.   JESUS IS WILLING TO HELP.

  • He reached out his hand and touched the man. He said, “I am willing, Be clean!”
  • Jesus is ready to reach out to us because he is willing to change our situation. He is willing and able to heal us from every sickness, bad reputations and hopeless condition. He wants to help us at the times we are helpless. When we come to him, He will not reject us. Jesus cares for us!

CONCLUSIONS:

“Immediately the leprosy left the man and he was cured.” (Mark 1:42)

  • There is hope in Jesus because he loves us. He is willing to listen and help us because he understands and cares for us. He is the only one who is able to change our bad condition into the best that we want.
